Our 2021 “Highland” Premium Shiraz Cabernet Franc epitomises the Downing Estate winemaking philosophy. To make our “Highland” we begin by carefully selecting and handpicking the finest Shiraz grapes from our ideally situated Heathcote vineyard. Before bottling, it is aged french oak for 18 months.

This Shiraz Cabernet Franc brings a delightfuly smooth palate of black and red cherry, plum and fig, underpinned by roasted sweet peppers. Finishing with subtle notes of violet, clove and leather.

Drinking well now, this premium blend is also ideal to cellar for 5-10+ years.
